PURE SHOT forces the player to control the ball with his shooting hand only.  This helps to develop touch and follow through.  this control of the ball with the shooting hand is developed because PURE SHOT eliminates the use of off hand in the shot.  Thumbing the ball with the off hand causes side-spin instead of backspin.

PURE SHOT may be used to develop the weak hand in dribbling, passing, and shooting layups.  This can be accomplished by wearing PURE SHOT on the strong hand during drills.
